While we are waiting for the go live date of the next SESL season, our CS:GO team is starting to explore foreign territories. Monday, January 13, 2020, starts officially our winter play season with our first match of the ESEA Season 33 in the Europe Open division. The match will be against the Polish team Arka Gdynia ESPORTS .
The E-Sports Entertainment Association (ESEA) came alive already back in 2003 when launching a league for Counter-Strike and later also for Team Fortress 2.
Today the ESEA is owned by Turtle Entertainment GmbH, powering also the ESL with a variety of country specific games ladders. The ESEA aims at providing a continent-based competitive environment, especially for CS:GO. The league is made of upto five divisions. The starting open division alone has almost 500 subscribed teams for the season 33! Two matches per week will be played, by default on Monday and Thursday.
We are excited to get in touch with some of the newcoming European teams, but also to rediscover some good old Swiss teams among them, like Babos Gaming and SwissBulls.
Let the games begin.
